This campground has some of the most memorable and idyllic hiker-biker sites we have ever seen. Natural tranquility to charge the cyclist soul: surrounded by redwoods, the sites are spacious, full of wood to use for campfires, have sweet old masonry camp ovens/fire enclosures, and are peacefully set away from the other sites. Coupled with a beautiful, long, winding descent, it's a naturally distinctive reward for what is a challenging and hilly ride taking you through varied landscapes with striking views on your way to the camp. There are hot showers and nice bathrooms too to round things out .
A nice trail on the south side of the park called Old Haul Road, is connected to the park with a bike-labeled service road. See park map. Old Haul is some nice dirt trail riding on you way to the curvaceous and downhill Pescadero Creek road, which will take you all the way to Pescadero State Beach. Nice lunch stop!
